Tasting notes :

Eye : Golden colour.


Nose : Fruity and very rich. It opens with orange blossom and candied fruit, with apricot and pineapple topping the list. On aeration, chestnut and quince paste complete the picture.


Palate : Luscious and very well balanced, from acidity to freshness to develop into a very smooth, empyreumatic aromas. It evolves like a fruit salad : peach, lychee, passion fruit, with a mid-palate of almond, nutmeg and chestnut, all coated in honey.


Finish : Very long, with quince paste, orange zest, pepper, cocoa and a very persistent liquorice rancio.

This blend has given birth to a particularly aromatic Pineau, in which the Cognac has blended with the grape must. This is a rare, very rich Pineau with a great deal of aromatic amplitude and pronounced notes of rancio. A true gastronomic product, it will delight all lovers of great spirits and great wines.

Ageing : 29 years.

Grape variety : Ugni blanc.

HOW TO DRINK IT :
Serve chilled as an aperitif or digestive. It's also widely recommended as a gastronomic accompaniment to a great liquoreux.


FOOD & PINEAU :
Enjoy it with foie gras, a chocolate dessert or blue-veined cheese. It's also perfect with a cigar.
