Tasting notes :
Colour : The 1998 Vintage, 25 years old has a beautiful, brilliant
with yellow and orange highlights.
Nose : The nose reveals delicate aromas of orange zest and dried mandarin, followed by subtle citrus notes, particularly candied lemon. A hint of vanilla adds a final touch of sweetness.
Palate : On the palate, it reveals fruity, elegant, gourmet flavours with notes of cooked apricot and caramelised peach. The finish is marked by a light hint of nutmeg. Finely oaked, it reveals subtle hint of rancio. Remarkably long, prolonging the experience with finesse and complexity.
Elegant, round and refined, the 1998 Vintage is the fruit of a perfect alchemy between an exceptional terroir and a passion for excellence. Frapin's signature aromatic richness and superb length on the palate, it embodies a unique personality, forged by the varied conditions of that year. After the heavy spring rainfall and the dryness of summer concentrated the aromas and sugars, preserving a balanced acidity. The 1998 harvest revealed bunches of grapes of exceptional ripeness, producing a Cognac of unique complexity and elegance.
