Fins Bois XO 50th anniversary Magnum Limited Edition Remi Landier Cognac

Tasting notes :

Eye : Copper orange.

Nose : Lively and fine. Balsamic (pine, lime) and fruity (orange, persimmon), aromas of quince jelly. When aired, the aromatic palette is enriched by chocolate, autumnal notes (dried leaves), camphor and a lovely rancio (cherry in brandy).

Palate : Straight, slender. Fibrous (ginger), the attack on the palate reveals of freshly cut grass and peppermint. In the middle of the mouth, beeswax and cocoa powder are gently dispersed on the palate.

Finish : Long and silky. Very delicate (peach skin), the start of the finish melon notes of great purity of expression. Greedy and refreshing, the finish is an invitation to savour hazelnut ice cream.

Remi Landier celebrated its fiftieth anniversary in 2023. Produced mainly from the Ugni Blanc grape variety planted on the clay-limestone soil known as ‘terre de groie’, the Cognac it produces are renowned for their finesse and fruitiness. The result of blending Cognac, the youngest of which is twenty years old and the oldest nearly 50 years old, this version has freshness of expression, supported by an extremely well-integrated woodiness.

Remi Landier has been working with the Atelier Verrier Guillot since the early 1980's. Meilleur Ouvrier de France, Allain Guillot is an artist renowned for his glass sculptures. He now works with his son Frederic, a highly talented glassblower, who has signed this magnifies the exceptional character of this cuvee.
